Pole Climber

Climbing a pole without the help of ladders, cranes, etc. is impossible for an average person. A person with special skills of pole climbing is indispensible not to mention about the exorbitant wages and high risk of legal problems in case of accidents and delays in work execution. There is no way out!!!

Not anymore! ‘Pole Pro’ has come to the help of employers/workmen from snow peaked mountains of Kashmir. With Pole Pro you don’t need ladders, pegs or any support. Anyone can climb a pole or vertical column be it man, woman, children above 12 years.

WHAT IS POLE PRO?

‘Pole Pro’ is a light weight attachment to climber’s shoes with a resilient member that goes around a pole, rollers to provide smooth ascend and a shoe grip which holds the shoes firmly. ‘Pole pro’ is ergonomically designed device and provides a temporary yet firm foot hold for the climber during his ascend or descend.

WHAT ADDITIONAL ATTACHMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR POLE PRO?

You actually need nothing!!!
A pole of any shape or size with a rough or a smooth surface can be climbed. You only need a firmly held pole to the ground, a pair of Pole Pro climbing devices, safety belt, helmet and shoes.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Wear the ‘Pole Pro’ in both the legs by following the procedure or undertaking the company training. Attach the ‘Pole Pro’ to circumscribe the pole by using the safety latch. As the climber lifts the leg Pole Pro rules along the pole in upward or downward direction. Climber needs to press his leg side ways to provide himself with a firm foot hold by locking the Pole Pro with pole and then repeating the procedure for the other leg. Thus enabling the climber to ascend or descend.

POLE PRO KIT

Consists of a pair of Pole Pro climbing device, a safety belt all enclosed in a back pack with pockets to accommodate workman/ lineman’s lunch box, water bottle and instruments with an instruction manual for the user.

Note of Caution:

‘Pole Pro’ is a climb assist for pole, column, tree and assists workmen, linemen, technicians and it is not a fall protection device. Periodic checking and inspection by competent persons is necessary for good and safe performance. Damaged, altered, modified, abused, over strained climbing device will not give the satisfactory performance and company is not responsible for any malfunction of such climbing devices.

TEST AND EVALUATION:

1) The device is tested for a static load of 150 kgs.
2) The device is tested for a Proof load of 250 kgs.
3) Individual components are made from standard materials and metals which pass individual ISI standards.

BACKGROUND OF POLE PRO:

This climb assist device is invented by Kashmiri brother Mr. Mushtaq Ahmed Dar identified by Prof. Gupta of IIM, Ahmedabad under the National Innovation Foundation (N.I.F.) umbrella also supported by Kashmir University, is patented under the Indian Patent No. 123 Del 2007 and patent of additions and also been filed.
